With this fixture hotting up with every meeting, this Game Week’s clash provided a similar serving. With some new players making starts for both teams, The Sole Sister’s ladies won the game from the minute it started.

Fielding a team of 9, contrasted with Chicks with Kicks’ 5 players, the Sisters started strong, winning every tackle and fully playing in the opposition’s half. It was this early, intense pressure that saw Gabi scoring 2 goals in quick succession, and later Tessa adding a third to see off the first half. Fittingly, it was Lady of the Match, Gabi, who led the triumphant victory, making several tackles in the defensive end, while creating and taking chances on the offensive end. Final score 3-0 to the Sole Sisters.

This clash truly showcased what is left to come from these two teams. It remains to be seen if Chicks with Kicks will change personnel, and whether the Sole Sisters will maintain their high-pressure approach. Evidently, the Game Week 4 clash on Thursday, 14th November is one to look out for.
